Midlife and Beyond Changes:
The 23 years Seattle Midlife Women's Health Study, a longitudinal survey study spanning 23 years. The women were asked to describe which life experiences they perceived to be the most stressful.
Women identified the most challenging aspects of midlife as changing family relationships, re-balancing work/personal life, re-discovering self, securing enough resources, and coping with multiple co-occurring stressors.

The Seattle Midlife Women's Health Study, a longitudinal survey study spanning 23 years, asked 508 women to describe life experiences they perceived to be the most stressful.
The study found five areas:
1) Changing family relationships.
2) Balancing work and personal life.
3) Rediscovering self.
4) Securing enough resources.
5) Multiple stressors occur at once.
